Sexual images of children get man arrested

29-year-old Tyler Creath is in custody on $100,000 bond on charges that include possession of pornographic images of babies and toddlers.

A 29-year-old Columbia man faces child pornography charges after an investigation uncovered hundreds of images in his possession of children being sexually molested, some as young as infants and toddlers.

Tyler R. Creath was arrested Tuesday and is currently in custody in the Boone County jail on $100,000 cash only bond.

The investigation leading to Creath's arrest began in mid-June when an agent in the St. Charles Cyber Crimes Unit downloaded child pornography from a computer that was determined to be located in Columbia.

A search warrant was served in early July at Creath's Columbia residence, at which time pornographic images were found.

The investigation was conducted by the Boone County Sheriff's Department Cyber Crimes Task Force and is comprised of officers from the Boone County Sheriff's Department, the University of Missouri Police Department, and the FBI.
