Threat over at Owensville High School, students safe

According to students locked in their rooms in Owensville High School, the school was on lockdown, although school officials refused to comment. (MGN Online)

A threat at Owensville High School was said to be over after students were temporarily locked in their rooms Friday morning.

Superintendent Chuck Garner stated:

"A potential threat was reported and the district immediately put their safety plan in place and contacted local and juvenile authorities. As you know, student and staff safety is our top priority and can inform you that no weapons were found. Students are back in class as normal. We will continue to cooperate with the authorities during this and all investigations to ensure the safety of all our students and faculty. Thank you."
