Salisbury man killed in Chariton County crash

A 26-year-old Salisbury man is dead after a single-car crash in Chariton County early Sunday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a car carrying Casey Stundebeck, 20-year-old Kyle Fischer and 27-year-old Scott Callighan was traveling eastbound on Route PP four miles east of Salisbury when it ran off the road, struck a culvert and overturned.

All three passengers were ejected from the car. None were wearing seatbelts.

Stundebeck was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both Callighan and Fischer were life-flighted to University Hospital. Callighan's injuries were classified as serious and Fischer's injuries were classified as moderate.

It is unclear who was driving the car at the time of the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
