Saint Louis Cardinals caravan through mid-Missouri
JEFFERSON CITY —
A sea of red packed the Missouri Farm Bureau in Jefferson City Friday night with anticipation for baseball season. Though it is the brink of winter, these people have their minds on spring.
The annual Saint Louis Cardinals Caravan brings players and alumni to fans so they can meet, sign autographs and answer questions.
The panel included players Harrison Bader, Jack Flaherty, Tommy Pham and Patrick Wisdom, as well as alumni Brad Thompson and Kerry Robinson.
The first question asked was for Pham on his advice for an eight-year-old playing baseball. He talked about hard work and finding ways to improve one's weaknesses.
Fredbird was also at the event signing autographs, posing for photos and pulling a prank or two on the emcees and players.
The group will head to Columbia for their next event Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at the Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center. They will then make their way to Fulton for a 5:30 p.m. event at Westminster College Mueller Leadership Hall.
