RV fire leaves Columbia mother and daughter displaced from their home

An early morning RV fire left two people displaced from their home in Columbia.

The Columbia fire department was called to the Sunset Mobile park

on Lenoir street just before 1:30 this morning where an RV was on fire.

The flames from a parked RV were going into a nearby mobile home.

The residents, Sharon Sardis and her daughter, were sleeping inside the mobile home as flames began to intrude.

Sardis woke up and discovered the front of her RV on fire in the driveway. She and her daughter were able to get out without injuries.

Assistant Fire Marshal James Pasley says the caused is undetermined at this time and damage is estimated at $6,000.
