Rollover accident leads to weapons arrest

An Auxvasse man is facing numerous criminal charges after police discovered he had a gun and drugs after he crashed his car.

Fulton Police arrested Davon Anthion Bryant, 21, of Auxvasse, after police responded to the area of Westminster and 15th street for a rollover accident and discovered a concealed weapon and drug paraphernalia.

Bryant was driving a 2006 Ford Focus traveling north on Westminster when he struck a parked car. When police arrived, they say they found Bryant's car upside down.

Upon investigating further, police found drug paraphernalia in Bryant's car. When they searched his person, they discovered a concealed .380 caliber semi-automatic handgun as well as 8.5 grams of marijuana.

Bryant is facing charges including felony unlawful use of a weapon, possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and careless and imprudent driving.

Bryant was taken to the Callaway County Jail with a bond of $6,000.
