Robbery suspects chased, but not caught

This hoodie was found after the robbery. It's believed to be worn by one of the men who robbed the bank.

Jefferson City Police are looking for the two men who robbed a man at gunpoint.

Thursday morning a little before 6:00, police were dispatched to the parking lot of Jefferson Bank on Southwest Boulevard for a robbery.

Police said two men wearing dark clothing and masks approached a local resturaunt manager who was making a deposit at the night deposit box. One

of the men showed a gun and demanded money.

The restaurant manager handed over the deposit money, and the two men fled the scene, headed south.

The victim and a witness started chasing the suspects, but lost them near Southridge Drive and Bubba Lane.

Police were able to find the stolen bank deposit bags, a handgun and a hoodie thought to be worn by one of the men.

The bank wasn't open when the robbery occured.

The investigation continues.
