State highway officials said melting snow and rain, along with an extreme swing in temperatures are causing a pothole problem across the state.

Maintenance Crew Leader Rich Skelton said, â??When you see the flashing lights and the arrows, slow down. Give us room to work. Let us get the road fixed so we can give you a good, smooth surface to drive on.â??
The repairs are a temporary patch made of cold asphalt.
Crews will return in the spring with stronger materials for a more permanent fix.
