The American Red Cross Heart of Missouri Chapter is assisting a Camden County family after a fire destroyed their home.
The family lost their home on Moulder Drive in Mack's Creek July 17 and were unaware of The Red Cross assistance.
Saturday a family member called the Red Cross and two Camden County volunteers went to help.
The volunteers met with the family and provided financial resources for them to meet their emergency needs including the purchase of food, clothing and shoes.
Volunteers also provided the family with comfort kits, which contain personal hygiene items, and refered them to a local agency.
The family is currently staying with relatives.
