Thu, 08 Aug 2013 14:44:03 GMT — Mid-Missouri will see multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms before activity finally comes to an end by Saturday morning. Rain showers moved through already hard hit southeastern portions of the viewing area Thursday morning. Spotty activity may be possible Thursday afternoon.More widespread heavy rain and thunderstorms will move into the area overnight and early Friday. Showers will spread from the west to the east through the day on Friday before tapering off early Saturday. An additional 1-2" of rain will be possible with locally higher amounts in some locations.Flash flood watches remain in effect through the beginning of the weekend. Motorists should use caution and never attempt to drive through standing water. Dry weather is in store for most of Saturday and Sunday.
