Prosecutors: Washington may have administered fatal dose

Jon Patrick Washington is still at-large.

Federal prosecutors say that Jon Patrick "Doom" Washington injected 16-year-old Morgan Myers with what was likely a fatal dose of heroin supplied by another man on the evening of April 2. Myers was found dead early the next morning in a Columbia motel room.

Washington remains at large.

According to an affidavit from a Drug Enforcement Agency Special Agent investigating the case, a confidential informant told authorities that a man identified only as "C-Bo" supplied the heroin to Washington, and asked him to inject the victim, who was at that time groggy from a previous injection. Washington admitted to injecting Myers at approximately 8:30 p.m.

The affidavit states that Washington then left the motel, returning at or shortly after 10:00 in response to a text message informing him that Myers was not doing well. He proceeded to attempt CPR on the victim before again leaving the motel. Upon his next return at about 4:00 a.m. the following morning, he discovered the victim unresponsive and called 9-11 before fleeing the scene.

Washington is charged with distributing heroin to a minor.
