      Prosecutor wants death penalty for manhunt targets

      Jeffery Nichols, 18, was charged Monday with first-degree murder for the stabbing death of a Carmelita Kaser.
      The Randolph County prosecutor will seek the death penalty against two men accused of a crime spree that ended in the murder of a 92-year-old Moberly woman.Mike Fusselman filed the notice of intent Friday in Randolph County Court.Jeffery Nichols, 22, and Christopher Lewis, 18, were charged last Monday with first-degree murder for the stabbing death of a Carmelita Kaser.The two then went on a crime spree that included shooting two other people, assaulting a woman to steal her car, shoplifting and stealing guns.Nichols and Lewis are being held on a $1 million bond.
