An inmate at the Jefferson City Correctional Center was indicted for murdering his cellmate.
Ryan Vaught, 23, was indicted Tuesday by a grand jury for first-degree murder.
Authorities believe Vaught killed his cellmate, Daniel Skipper, 65, on February 16.
Authorities said corrections officers found Skipper unresponsive in his cell with multiple wounds on his face and neck, as well as a piece of fabric wrapped around his neck.
Skipper was serving a sentence for statutory rape and sodomy.
