Police look for shooting suspect

A shooter is on the loose in Columbia.
Someone shot and wounded a man in the 1700 block of Parkside Lane near Cosmo Park shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Police said the victim was shot once in the arm and once in the hip.
The victim was conscious and breathing when officers arrived at the scene.
The victim is a black male in his early 20 TMs.
Police said the victim was taken to the hospital for emergency surgery.
The wounded man did not give any information to investigators.
We don TMt really even know at this point if he lives in the area," Columbia police officer Jill Wieneke said. "We weren TMt able to talk to him yet. There was some type of argument up on Parkside between him and another male. We TMre not sure if the shooting occurred in the street, in a vehicle or whether it was one person in or one person out. We are really trying to work all that out right now.
Police said the victim ran down the street after he was shot.
Officers found the victim collapsed in the street.
The person who called 911 hid in some nearby woods until officers arrived because they were so frightened.
