Police conducting murder investigation in Jefferson City shooting, victim identified

Officers stated Monday afternoon they were investigating a suspicious death as a murder.

Police found Ronald Rattler, of Jefferson City, dead from what appeared to be at least one gunshot wound, according to a release. The exact cause of death has not yet been determined.

Jefferson City Police responded to the 600 block of Clark Avenue for a medical assistance call about 11:15 a.m. Sunday.

Officers said a caller reported a 41-year-old male victim from Jefferson City, was not responsive. Upon their arrival, authorities confirmed the man was deceased inside the residence.

Detectives were called to investigate due to the nature of the scene.
