Chase Austin Reives was arrested on charges of resisting arrest by fleeing, driving while suspended, and careless and imprudent driving.
Mon, 29 Jul 2013 15:55:37 GMT — One man is behind bars after fleeing from an officer and leading police on a chase through two counties. Howard County Deputy Sergeant Don Dame approached a suspicious vehicle Saturday morning at Hwy 40 and County Road 467, when he noticed a male running towards the car and fleeing. Dame pursued the vehicle into Boone County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol, Boone County Sheriff's Department and the Columbia Police Department joined in the pursuit. Spike strips were used on I-70 in Columbia to slow the vehicle, but the suspect then fled on foot in a residential area. With the help of the Boone County K-9 unit, Chase Austin Reives was located at the Columbia Country Club. Reives was arrested on $20,000 bond with charges of resisting arrest by fleeing, driving while suspended, and careless and imprudent driving. Reives also had a warrant out in Lafayette County. He remains in the Howard County Jail.
