Some changes to Columbia parking violation citations will begin on Monday, July 1.

Parking Enforcement Agents, Columbia Police and University of Missouri Police will all begin using a smart-phone device to issue parking tickets.

The devices currently being used are more than 15 years old and are not very compatible with todayâ??s software.

The actual paper citations will be larger in size under the new system.
