      Osage Co. man fires rifle in home, leads to standoff with police

      An Osage County man has been arrested following firing a rifle inside his home and a standoff with police Sunday night.

      Louis ??Buzzy?? Duncan opened fire with a rifle inside his home in the area of 91 County Road 207 in Freedom, Missouri, according to a press release. His wife and her ten-year-old son, and 22-year-old daughter were able to get out unharmed. Duncan was reportedly extremely intoxicated.

      Deputies and Troopers from the Missouri State Highway Patrol met the victims and other family members at the intersection of Highway J and Highway N. After deputies interviewed the victims, they requested additional assistance. Upon the Sheriff??s arrival, additional response was requested from both the Maries County and Gasconade County Sheriff??s Offices.

      Authorities made contact with Duncan via cell phone and after negotiations deputies were able to take him into custody.

      He was charged Monday with Second Degree Domestic Assault, Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. He is currently being held without bail at the Osage County Jail.
