Osage Beach structure fire causes $100,000 in damage

A newly renovated Osage Beach residence caught fire yesterday morning causing nearly $100,000 in damage.The fire happened on the 4895 Wilson Drive in Osage Beach around 6 a.m.Pictures taken by the Osage Beach Protection District show the two story building on fire. Fire crews say the building was vacant and a passerby called 911.Crews entered on the first floor and say the fire extended into the attic.They were able to control the blaze within 30 minutes with the help of Lake Ozark Fire, Mid-County Fire, Camdenton Fire, and Osage Beach Police. Ameren UE also assisted by disconnecting electrical service tothe building.No one was injured.The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
