One woman injured after shots fired on I-70

According to the Columbia Police Department, one person suffered minor injuries from broken glass after a shots fired incident Friday.

Officers responded to a report of an assault with a gun around 2:22 a.m. on I-70, west of Stadium Boulevard.

Investigators said a female victim was traveling westbound on I-70 when a motorcycle began slowing down in front of her at the Stadium Boulevard exit. As the victim approached the exit, the driver of the motorcycle began firing at the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle was struck by the gunfire and the victim was injured by broken glass.
