One man killed in a shed fire

Boone County Fire Investigators say they TMll never know the cause of a fire that killed a man in his workshop.

Authorities officially ruled the cause as undetermined because of the severity of the damage to the building.

Investigators believe the fire was accidental.

Robert Hudson, 72, died in the fire about 1 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Hudson was trapped in his metal shed near his home in the 5200 block of South Cowan Road.

No one else was injured.

There was no damage to nearby structures.

A Boone County man is dead after a fire in a shed at his residence. Boone County Fire Department crews responded around 1:00 Tuesday morning to a large, metal outbuilding of fire in the 5200 block of South Cowan Road.When crews arrived, they found the shed completely engulfed. Fire crews said 72-year-old Robert Hudson was located inside the building, and died from the fire.The building served as a workshop for the homeowners, according to fire department officials. Hudson lived in the house on the property. No one else was injured and nearby structures was not damaged.The cause of the fire is under investigation.
