One dead, one arrested in jet-ski crash

One man is dead and another is facing criminal charges after their jet-skis collided at Lake of the Ozarks.

Authorities believe at least one of the men was intoxicated during the accident.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says around 4 p.m. Friday, Brett Keith, 28, and Blake Briner, 22, both of Chillicothe, were riding separate jet skis near the 19-mile marker on the Osage arm of Lake of the Ozarks.

Around that time, Briner made a hard-180 degree turn, resulting in a collision between the two. Briner was seriously injured and later pronounced dead at Lake Regional Hospital.

Keith was arrested for boating while intoxicated, according to online records.
