One man is in custody, accused of trying to break into a Wardsville pizza restaurant. Cole County Sheriff's deputies were called to the Pizza Haus on Route B in Wardsville at 2:37 a.m. Monday morning.
When they got there, they found Daniel E. Dawson, of Henley, hiding behind some propane tanks. Dawson admitted to deputies that he entered the building, but said he did not get very far before the alarm went off.
Dawson has been charged with 2nd degree burglary. He is in the Cole County Jail, with a $20,000 bond.
