Suspect in Columbia double shooting faces murder charge
A Columbia man arrested in connection to a double shooting near the Highway 63/I-70 corridor back in June was charged Friday with second-degree murder according to Case.Net.
On June 27th, 30-year-old Denico Sanchez Crawley was arrested on the 2900 block of Paris Road and accused of firing several shots into the driver's side door of the victims' SUV, striking two people.
The male victim, identified by police as 25-year-old Quenten Hurt, died from his injuries more than two weeks later on July 12th.
The murder charge was added to a long list of charges Crawley faced including armed criminal action, first-degree assault, and unlawful use of a weapon.
