University of Missouri Police are investigating the death of an 18-year-old male in one of the University's residence halls.
Police were called to the Dogwood Residence Hall just after 9 a.m. Sunday for a medical emergency.
When officers arrived they found Gregory Holthaus, of Highland, Illinois, unconscious and not breathing. He was a guest of one of the residents and not an MU student.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, started life-saving procedures and took Holthaus to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators are interviewing his friends and others in the area in addition to gathering evidence for the investigation.
There is no indication of foul play at this time. An official cause of death will be released by the medical examiner at a later date.
