Tue, 15 Apr 2014 16:13:54 GMT — The University of Missouriâ??s Chancellor has responded to the independent investigation into how the university responded to allegations of a sexual assault made by former student, Sasha Menu Courey.Chancellor R. Bowen Loftin says he accepts the findings of the Dowd Bennett report."I have now had time to thoroughly review the report, and I accept the findings and acknowledge that we have a responsibility as a university to ensure that we are stronger in the future," Loftin said in a release.The Dowd Bennett report found no intentional mishandling of the allegations on behalf of the University, but showed the University did not follow proper Title IX guidelines in reporting the allegations."The safety, security and health of our students are our most important priorities," Loftin said.Columbia Police continue to investigate this case.
