MSHP releases Labor Day weekend crash statistics

Seven people died in crashes over Labor Day weekend, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Between Friday and Monday evenings, there were 248 traffic crashes that resulted in 112 injuries, including five of the seven fatalities.

Troopers made 119 arrests for driving while intoxicated.

There weren't any boating fatalities over the weekend, but nine boating accidents left seven people injured. There were no drownings reported this year.
