Motorcycle crash kills Boonville man

A Boonville man was killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday evening.

A Boonville man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Cooper County Saturday evening.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, 43-year-old Jeffrey Roath was driving his motorcycle on Route K west of Missouri 41 when he entered a curve too quickly and drove off the right side of the road.

Roath struck a ditch and was thrown from the motorcycle, even though he was wearing a safety device.

The Cooper County coroner pronounced Roath dead at the scene.

This is the second fatality in June for Troop F, which covers most of mid-Missouri, and the tenth for 2013.
