Fri, 18 Apr 2014 20:22:20 GMT — The mother and aunt of an 8-year-old child who was taken from a Jefferson City elementary school have been officially charged.Cole County Prosecutor Mark Richardson charged Britney R. Coney and Naâ??Diya Curtis with parental kidnapping.Coney is the mother of 8-year-old Eboni Kyashiah Coney-King, who was found safe in St. Louis after police issued an endangered person advisory for her Thursday night.Police say Eboni was leaving West School on Dix Road in Jefferson City Thursday, when her aunt walked her to a car.Police say the school's surveillance video shows the girl start to struggle when she saw her mother in the car.An investigation led detectives to where Coney was staying with her mother in St. Louis.The grandmother was contacted by police and brought Eboni into a police station at 1 a.m. where her father later picked her up.Warrants have been issued for both Coney and Curtis. Theyâ??re not currently in custody.
