Moberly woman shot in back

A Moberly woman is recovering from a gunshot wound at a Columbia hospital.

Moberly police chief Russell Tarr said they got the call at 1:40 Thursday morning. Authorities responded to the 600 block of East Lee Street for a woman who had been shot in the back.

She was first taken to Moberly Regional Medical Center, then transferred to University Hospital where she is in good condition.

Police say there have been no arrests in the shooting, but the investigation continues.
