Mizzou freshman arrested for rape

A University of Missouri freshman was arrested Monday for second degree rape.

University police received a call just after midnight Monday reporting a rape in Laws Hall.

The female accuser told police she had been raped in the early morning hours of February 23rd. The accuser, who is also a student, identified the suspect as an acquaintance.

18-year old Vincent T. Nuño was taken into custody by the University Police Department around 7:43 a.m. Monday morning.

He faces charges of felony second degree rape and possession of intoxicating liquor as a minor. Bond was set at $5,000.
