Two men were indicted by a federal grand jury Wednesday for possessing counterfeit $50 and $100 bills.

According to the indictment, 36-year-old Kevin Glenn McCuiston, of Moberly, was in possession of 49 counterfeit $50 bills on Dec. 6, 2013.

A separate indictment states 28-year-old Jackie L. Busey, of St. Joseph, was arrested in October of 2012 for trying to pass counterfeit bills. Police say Busey had 74 counterfeit $50 bills and 17 counterfeit $100 bills when he was arrested near a Columbia bar.

These cases were investigated by the U.S. Secret Service, the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Columbia Police Department.

Evidence supporting the charges must be presented to a federal trial jury, whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
