Missing woman found alive after being lost in woods

A St. James, Missouri woman who was last seen floating on an innertube on the Gasconade River has been found.

Maries County authorities said Penny Curtner was found alive after being lost in the woods. She was treated for minor injuries and has been released to her family.

The Maries County Sheriff's Office, Vienna Fire Department and the Missouri State Water Patrol searched for Curtner along the river, near the Highway 42 bridge. Members of the Linn Fire Department also helped with the search of the Gasconade River inside in Osage County.
