Missing four-year old found safe in Ohio

A missing four year-old boy from Pulaski County has been found safe and his abductor is in custody.

According to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department, the child, Lance Webb Jr., was surrendered to authorities in Galion shortly after midnight by his biological father. The child appeared to be in good health.

The man suspected of abducing the four year-old, Christopher Wetherall, 30, was arrested by Ohio authorities at 6 a.m. Sunday morning.

The missing child was reported Friday afternoon by Lance's mother, Amber Edgison, who suspected that her son had been kidnapped by Wetherall. Initially, Edgison had given consent to the suspect to care for the child while she was in Army Basic Training.

When Edgison tried to have a family member care for her son instead, Wetherall allegedly kidnapped the child and ended communications with her.

Wetherall is neither the biological or custodial parent of her son.

Wetherall is currently being held at the Galion Police Department. He faces a felony charge of child kidnapping.

Deputies do not believe the child's biological father was involved in the kidnapping.
