Miller County deputy critical after collapse

A Miller County deputy remains in critical condition after collapsing on duty Friday.

A Miller County deputy is in critical condition at a Springfield hospital after collapsing while serving a search warrant in the Eldon area Friday.

According to Sheriff William Abbot, after collapsing, Deputy Tom McClelland was discovered not breathing and without a pulse. Deputies began CPR until an ambulance arrived.

McClelland was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, where he remains in critical condition.
