Roadwork, especially in the busy Jefferson City-Columbia corridor, continues to imact drivers as the summer construction season rolls on.
Over the next week, drivers can expect a lot of construction projects in the Ashland area, as crews work on the route M and Y bridge deck, and the construction of a J-turn south of Peterson Lane. The contractor will close the southbound Highway 63 entrance and exit ramps at the M/Y interchange Monday through Friday. A detour will be in place.
Workers will also be resurfacing both the north and southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 63 from Broadway Street in Columbia to Highway 54 in Callaway County.
The Broadway/Route WW bridge over Highway 63 in Columbia will have its deck resurfaced, but one lane of traffic will remain open in both directions for the duration. The Route WW bridge over Hominy Creek, just east of Highway 63 remains completely closed to traffic until late August.
