Mid-Missouri bank robbery suspect arrested in Kentucky

The Montgomery City Police Department announced an arrest Friday in connection with a Wednesday morning bank robbery.

Joshua Raymond Kelly, 28, was taken into custody in Lexington, Kentucky Thursday afternoon.

Around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, police say a white male entered the First Bank on North Sturgeon Street in Montgomery City. The man approached a teller, indicated he was armed, and demanded money.

The Montgomery police and the FBI learned that Kelly was in Kentucky after an extensive investigation.

A federal arrest warrant was issued Thursday and Lexington Police made the arrest without incident.
