Wal-Mart employee threatened with a knife

A man with a knife threatened a Wal-Mart employee over the weekend.

Just before 7 p.m. Saturday Jefferson City Police officers were flagged down by several Wal-Mart employees. They said a male, armed with a knife, tried to shoplift from the Stadium store and threatened an employee with the knife.

The suspect got away walking towards the Menard's store. Officers found him near the Wal-Mart and arrested him after a foot chase.

The man didnâ??t give up easily, saying he was not going back to prison. Police ended up using a Taser on the man to get him to drop the knife.

Dareon Dashon Davis, 23, of Jefferson City, was treated for minor injuries and then was taken to the Cole County jail for armed robbery and resisting arrest.
