Man pleads guilty to child molestation

A 51-year-old Lake Ozark man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty Tuesday to child molestation charges.

Thomas Clabough was accused of inappropriately touching a nine-year-old girl during the summer of 2012.

He was arrested on October 30, 2012, one day after the girl's family reported the incident.

Clabough's jury trial had been scheduled to start Wednesday morning.

Miller County Prosecuting Attorney Matt Howard says under the terms of the plea agreement, the court denied any chance of probation and ordered Clabough committed immediately to the Department of Corrections.

Howard says under Missouri law, after Clabough serves his sentence he will continue to be registered as a sex offender and will be subject to lifetime supervision with GPS location monitoring.
