A Columbia man is in Boone County Jail after allegedly firing a gun during an argument with a neighbor Sunday morning.
Boone County Sheriff's Deputies arrived at the 6100 block of Sharon Lane in Northeast Columbia around 9 a.m.
Upon arrival, deputies found 30-year-old Recco Charters in possession of a firearm. Investigation revealed that Charters fired two shots into the ground.
Authorities say Charters was intoxicated at the time. He also has a previous conviction for robbery and as a result was not allowed to have a gun in his possession.
Charters was arrested for one count of unlawful use of a weapon and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm.
Bond is $20,000 cash.
