A Mexico man is charged with arson after setting a self-storage building on fire.
Monday at about 6:30 a.m. Mexico Public Safety officers and volunteers went to a fire in a storage building in the 500-block of South Olive.
The fire destroyed the building and the majority of everything inside.
The Mexico Public Safety Department and Missouri State Fire Marshal's office determined it was arson.
A warrant was issued for Larry Skinner, 46, who was renting one of the storage units in the building destroyed.
Skinner was arrested by the Centralia Police Department on Wednesday at about 5:30 p.m. and is now in the Audrain County Jail.
Skinner is charged with second-degree arson.
