Man behind bars after Sedalia drug bust

One man is behind bars facing multiple charges after a drug bust in Sedalia early Saturday morning.
Officers and detectives with the Sedalia Police Department along with a Pettis County Sheriff's Deputy arrived at 310 E. Saline Street around 5:15 a.m.
Inside the home they found methamphetamine, marijuana, schedule two and three controlled prescription medications, drug paraphernalia and drug packaging supplies. They also found $1,380 in cash, which they believe to be profit from drug sales.
Investigation revealed that the resident of the home, Jack Kaufman Jr., was involved in the sale of the drugs.
Authorities also found five guns inside the residence.
Kaufman was arrested for:
Distribution of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a park
Distribution of schedule two and three controlled prescription medications
Distribution of marijuana
Possession of methamphetamine
Possession of schedule two and three controlled prescription medications
Possession of marijuana
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Schedule two controlled prescription medications in improper container
Kaufman is being held in Pettis County jail on $100,000 bond.
