      Man arrested hours after Break Time robbery

      Police arrested Jarreau Kelley, 29, after he allegedly entered the Break Time at 901 Conley Road around 6 a.m. and demanded money from the clerk.

      Columbia police arrested a man Wednesday night, hours after a convenience store robbery.


      Police arrested Jarreau Kelley, 29, after he allegedly entered the Break Time at 901 Conley Road around 6 a.m. and demanded money from the clerk.


      He then left on foot and entered a dark-colored car, which left south on Highway 63. No one was injured during the robbery.


      Police found Kelley at his home in the 4100-block of Lenoir Street and arrested him for first-degree robbery, armed criminal action, and for misdemeanor possession of marijuana.


      He is currently in the Boone County Jail.
