Man arrested for shots fired in Douglass Park

Columbia Police made an arrest after a shooting at Douglass Park last Wednesday.

Around 6:45 pm Thursday, the Columbia Police Department Street Crimes Unit with the help of the Moberly Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Walter Lee Ricketts Jr., 30.

They found him in the 400 block of Reed Street in Moberly. He's being held on a $200,000 bond for armed criminal acton and unlawful use of a weapon.

On Wednesday, August 21 at 6:18 P.M., officers were called to Douglass Park after a report of shots fired.

They didn't find a disturbance or a suspect at that time but did recover shell casings in the parking lot.

No one was injured.
