A Columbia man is facing multiple charges after allegedly leading Boone County authorities on an overnight car and foot chase.
Boone County Deputies were sent to the 3900 block of Ketterer Road around 1:40 a.m. Saturday in response to a reported disturbance.
As they arrived in the area, they learned that the alleged suspect was leaving the area in a silver Ford F-250 crew cab truck.
Deputies spotted that vehicle and tried to stop it, but the driver continued driving, initiating a chase northbound on Route B.
In the 3800 block of Mount Zion Church Road, the driver of the vehicle got out while the vehicle was still moving.
The vehicle hit a ditch and crashed into a tree, pinning the female passenger.
She was taken to a hospital where she was treated and released.
Authorities caught the driver, 25-year-old Zachary Bullard, after a short foot chase.
Deputies later learned the vehicle Bullard had been driving had been stolen.
Bullard was arrested for second-degree assault, driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended, possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest by fleeing causing substantial risk of injury and tampering with a motor vehicle.
Bullard also had an active felony probation violation warrant.
