A Gravois Mills man sustained serious injuries in a Morgan County car crash Saturday morning.
33-year-old Rick Lawson was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Michael Jensen. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Jensen was driving eastbound on Route J near Mo. 135 when his right rear tire blew out.
Jensen overcorrected after the car went off the right side of the road and ended up in the path of an oncoming vehicle. The two vehicles collided.
Lawson was thrown from the vehicle and airlifted to University Hospital from the scene. Highway Patrol says he was not wearing a seat belt.
Jenson was not injured.
The driver of the second vehicle, 57-year-old Donald Batliner, was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital.
