Sun, 06 May 2012 00:21:10 GMT — The Bagnall Dam Strip along the Lake of the Ozarks is literally revved up with a door to door variety of hot-rods and motorcycles. This record breaking 24th annual Magic Dragon Street meet had over eleven hundred vehicles registered and were still counting. (Jerry Hawken- LO Chamber President) "We have surpassed last year and broken a record this year and ready to go for the 25th anniversary." Keith and Carol Storey have been driving their 66' Ford Mustang that was built as a family from Jonesburg Missouri to the ??Street Meet?? for 8 years in a row. For them it is more than just a chance to show off their nice ride. (Keith Storey) "We come here every year for our wedding anniversary and this is our 20th... and we come here for my birthday. That's what we do at this event." The cars are judged by class and there are also some specialty awards including ladies pick, best interior and a long distance award. "And this is the only car show that gives away a car." The Lake Ozark Daybreak Rotary sold out of tickets to win the 2012 Chevy Camaro. Now there is a new extension of the street meet geared to the next generation of car enthusiasts. Speaking of next generation, Chase is the youngest registered participant and seemed like he planned to come back to the traditional Magic Dragon Street Meet.
