Two Macon residents are hurt, one seriously, after a crash Saturday evening.
Ashlynn Ross, 17, was driving on U.S. 36 one mile east of the U.S. 63 interchange in Macon when she went off the left side of the roadway. She overcorrected and her car went into the median, coming to rest on its passenger side. Ross sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Samaritan Hospital. Her passenger, 20-year-old Jena Lingard, was seriously injured and was airlifted from Samaritan to University Hospital.
Neither Ross nor Lingard were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
