Lockdown lifted at Jefferson City High School
JEFFERSON CITY —
Jefferson City High School was given the all-clear around 8:10 a.m. Thursday after being on lockdown, according to JCPS spokesperson Amy Berendzen.
She said at approximately 7:53 a.m. Thursday, the high school went into lockdown due to a suspicious noise heard on the 2nd floor. "High school staff did an outstanding job facilitating the lockdown," she said. "They reacted quickly, in the best interest and safety of our students."
Berendzen said JCPS administrators will continue to look into the incident.
