Fri, 07 Jun 2013 12:38:01 GMT — Three Linn State Technical College students were arrested Thursday for property damage and theft. The Osage County Sheriff's office said they had been investigating a string of vandalism crimes reported over the past several weeks. Thousands of dollars of property damage has been reported over the past few months. At approximately 2:30 a.m. Thursday, an Osage County Deputy found three suspects stealing thousands of dollars of road signs and busting hundreds of dollars worth of mail boxes in the area of Osage County Road 810 and Highway RA. Authorities arrested Jacob Hellebush, 19, from Marthasville after he took authorities on a chase and later crashed.He was arrested for felony theft, resisting arrest and being visibly intoxicated.John McAuley, 21, of Dearborn, and Jack Brazil, 19, of O'Fallon, Missouri were arrested for Felony theft.Osage County Sheriff, Michael Dixon said all three suspects go to school at the Linn State Technical College, where a large amount of vandalism and sign thefts have been reported, located, seized, and prosecuted in the past. Sheriff Dixon said his office will be using security cameras to â??continue to pursue young adults who violate the laws and make the roadways safe for motorists.â??â??We will not tolerate this behavior in Osage County,â?? Dixon said. â??My deputies did a fantastic job investigating these complaints the past few months. Their dedication to their victims crimes is un paralleled.â??
